Why I Started a YouTube Channel Misbonitodesigns (and What You’ll Learn)

Welcome to the Misbonito Designs YouTube Channel

A New Space for Handmade Jewelry, Learning & Creative Calm

I’m so excited to finally welcome you to the Misbonitodesigns YouTube channel, a space created for anyone who loves handmade jewelry, slow creativity, and learning something meaningful with their hands.

This channel will be an extension of my own journey with bead-weaving.

How It All Started

As many of you know, I am self-taught,  20 years ago I started with wire-wrapping back in Venezuela as it was trending and I loved it. Then, one day, I saw a spiral beaded bracelet and I became obsessed, I wanted to know how to make it so bad, and I started by watching endless YouTube videos and written instructions, pausing, rewinding, and trying again, and again, and once I learned how to make them. I couldn't stop.

The next thing I tried was bead embroidery. Another piece that I saw and I was mezmerized was a wedding dress that a friend of my mom's was making and I tought, may be I can make something smaller with beads and then I saw beaded embroidery brochs and bracelets and thought! that's it.

I made only a couple of those as I found it incredible hard to plan and go around and they were too big for me to wear so I ended up giving them away.

When I came to Canada, I was only familiar with Peyote stitch, then I saw someone making a piece using brick stitch and had to try it. From that moment everything changed

Why Misbonitodesigns on YouTube?

When I started on social media for my handmade business, I only shared a few moments behind the scenes as of my process and people loved it!

But then over the years, people have asked me to make longer videos, but I never had the time to edit and go into that, until recently when I finally have everything set up the way I want to.

And I understand that for someone who wants to learn, a few seconds of bts is not enough. Like every craft, bead-weaving has tiny details that make a big difference—how tightly you pull the thread, which beads work best, how to finish your piece neatly. These small things are often what separate a handmade piece from one that feels polished and professional. So now, you not only have the chance to buy the final pieces, you can also learn how to make them yourself!

That’s what inspired me to teach you—and now, to create this YouTube channel

More Than Just Jewelry Making

Bead-weaving is slow and repetitive—but that’s what makes it special. As your hands move bead by bead, your mind begins to slow down too. You focus, you breathe differently, you’re fully present. Studies show that repetitive hand crafts like beadwork can help reduce stress and anxiety by creating a state of flow—a calm, meditative focus. Bead-weaving gently forces you to slow down, and in today’s fast-paced world, that can feel incredibly healing.

This channel isn’t just about making jewelry—it’s about creating moments of calm while making something meaningful.

With the Misbonitodesigns YouTube channel, my goal is to share everything that I've learned this years, not only from beading but also creating this business as well. You will be able to see

*Beginner-friendly bead-weaving tutorials. Step-by-step peyote and brick stitck tutorials and other techniques.

*Jewelry-making techniques explained simply

*Design inspiration and pattern guidance

*Design tips, finishing methods, and common mistakes to avoid

*Creative encouragement, especially if you’re just starting out

Whether you’re a beginner or someone looking to refine your skills, or simply out of curiosity (you have no idea how many tutorials I see of things I am never going to make (lol) but I just want to see how they are done) then, this channel is for you. You don’t need prior experience just curiosity and the willingness to try.

If you haven’t already, I invite you to subscribe to the Misbonitodesigns YouTube channel, turn on notifications, and join me as we create together, one bead at a time.

Thank you for being here. I can’t wait to make something beautiful together
